<p dir="auto">That was a good tribute TCM did for her. Obviously, I didn't watch all of it, as it was 24 straight hours.<br />
What I like about Lauren Bacall was the fact that her film debut in<br />
To Have and Have Not<br />
was not only her film debut, but also the film that made her a star. Very rarely does this happen in Hollywood. Normally, one has to work his or her way through several films, before he or she becomes a star. But for Lauren, all it took was her film debut, and she became an overnight sensation. And for nearly 3/4 of a century, she would continue to charm the world with her class and elegance.</p>
