Crossroads is such an underrated movie, and i'm sure people dismiss this only bc Britney is in it. yes, the movie is tailored to her but she's nailing the vibes perfectly.

My understanding is that he's actually jealous of her Idk if he's known at all in Germany (kinda hope not for your sake), but over here he's considered something of a joke, a symbol of everything wrong with American music before grunge got popular and rescued it. He's tried tons of things to stay relevant and none of it has worked, except very briefly with the Lil Nas X thing. But yeah, his hometown is near mine. yes, idk what her dad's deal is but i think Miley's uncompromisingly independent personality is strong and capable enough to weather all that **** she surely had and has to deal with from her dad and in that business and seemingly without suffering too much mentally. when she did that image reinvention, i wasn't always a fan of her decisions, like that queer baiting stuff, but she did what she had to do to outgrow her Hannah Montana persona and is still popular, relevant and successful which i respect.

Yeah exactly. Supposedly when Britney was on conservatorship she was forced to perform still and make music even though she didn’t want to and they threatened make her lose custody of her kids if she didn’t. This makes me so angry if true. Like most moms in her position would have done the same thing for their kids. Amanda Bynes went through similar stuff but seems to be doing better and more stable now
Paris also is doing ok too despite what she has gone through. She ended up profiting off her dumb blonde image instead which was a very smart move on her part. I would have done the same thing if I was her

exactly, and Britney was still a kid when she became a publically known performer and still a teen when she pretty much rose to pop queen status with a song that sexualised teenage girls and ultimately her as the performer. sadly she never could outlive that image, but thank god she's still alive!
not everyone can be like Miley Cyrus who did a complete turn on her image or the Olsen twins who removed themselves entirely from the public once they realised that their mental health was suffering.
i think for stars at such a young age surviving that business it has a lot to do with the people surrounding them and looking out for them, the social safety net, and Britney's people ****ed it up. plain and simple.

Britney is a more unfortunate case because everyone including her own family controlled her in every way and her mental decline and instability was the outcome of all that. She seemed completely normal and happy before all that and she gave smart remarks in interviews a lot. She’s a good actress too. It’s just that society never took her seriously because of all the stereotypes put on women who are sexualized and she was sexualized at a young age so ppl had their mind set on her like that for a long time.
