What do you think? There's talk that the director seems to think that Carrey would be perfect for the part and may revive the franchise. Can you see it? Would this possibly work, or is the franchise simply meant to die?

I've never seen one of his movies. Something about him that I find off-putting. Comedy isn't my favorite genre either.

Terrible idea. I've seen others say it.
If there is another remake, it should be an unknown, and they need to take some chances with it. They should go for more surrealism. Maybe make it Lynchesque, or maybe go with the aesthetic of the posters of the original series.
The last remake was so bland and safe.
Go for the spirit of the original, but with something fresh.
