<p dir="auto">Found the interview with Wes from February 2014 where he mentions wanting to direct a new Elm Street if the script is good and if approached by Warner Brothers. He states he would only do the movie with Robert returning!<br />

<p dir="auto">Scream 4 was not going to be it for him, and he was considering directing new movies. He actually was interested in directing a final Elm Street movie, but because Platinum Dunes owned the rights, Wes knew that the chance was slim.<br />
I linked to this interview with Wes where he mentioned Elm Street, and how he'd like to return for one final go.</p>
