I mean I loved Clint in his Sergio Leone films, and his Dirty Harry films. And Play Misty for Me. Maybe they can remake The Good the Bad and the Ugly and Clint can play Arch Stanton (;-p)

That made me laugh. I agree with the posters who are saying that Clint Eastwood is a bona fide Hollywood legend and icon and can do whatever the hell we wants to do.
Besides that, have any detractors ever taken the time to look up Clint's latest film, "Cry Macho"? From the synopsis, the story sounds very simple and straight-forward with maybe a learning lesson in there {"Cry Macho"} that if it's going to be done, Clint Eastwood sounds like just about the best choice, for director as well as to star in this character.
I even might go see it.

Well, Clint is like 90 and can't really do much Action scenes himself… What Clint could do is have a Character to play his Great Grandson, like a 23 year old and teach him the violent ways…;)

I think that he earned the right a very long time ago to just start winging it with the Movies that he makes.

I'm sure the critics are being paid for positive reviews.

He is too old to pick up a gun so now he is making movies where he doesn't have to be violent anymore and is fooling the critics who are calling his movies, "Genius!" and "Brilliant film making!" or "Eastwood's best!" etc.
