oh anthony by far. the legend of hopkins goes way back to like 1991 in the silence of the lambs. when that movie came out everyone knew who he is. i guess no one knew who he was before then but after then he was a huge legend. and then in 2 movies every year in the '90s.

Anthony Hopkins is more famous, but Richard Burton is way better actor.

Richard Burton died before turning 60. Hopkins has had 20 years more performances to build his legacy. Up to the same age, I'd give it to Burton though. 7 Academy Award nominations for Best Actor.
