People need realize that these interviews are done in a press junction. The stars literally sit in a room all day and have members of the press come in sit down and ask questions for about 10 minutes or so. It's torture for the stars. More than one actor has said they hate doing them.
He looks pretty tired he probably had been doing that junction all day and was sick of getting the same damn questions over and over.

I don't know, I guess some of the blunt answers may have been awkward for the interviewer.
I imagine Mr. Jones might be like me in the respect that he sometimes gives one word replies or extremely honest ones instead of maybe adding more filler. I.e. "Hey, how are you?" "Fine thank you, yourself?" instead of the social fluff "Hey, how are you?" "Fine thank you, have you seen the weather? Lovely isn't it".
I'm used to seeing actors do that, Mr. Jones is honest with himself and the viewer.

Please explain your discomfort. I find TLJ friendly, informative and even enthusiastic in this interview. He only gave honest responses.

I have no idea why that made you uncomfortable. I like Tommy lee Joneshe is a straight shooter and not into any of that Hollywood BS.
