<p dir="auto">He’s certainly no HP Lovecraft or Edgar Allen Poe, but he made pulp horror mainstream while also giving it artistic credibility.<br />
But yes, he hasn’t had a relevant novel in 20-30 years.</p>

<p dir="auto">I've loved most of his stories.  I like the way he takes ordinary people in ordinary situations and turns it into something that gets under your skin, is mesmerising,  and scares the bejesus out of you.   I know he's not everyone's cup of tea, but he's mine.</p>
