Both are great actors, got gravitas and a massive amount of screen presence. Perhaps an Oscar-bait film would do. Just imagine the two having a dialogue, that would be intense.
If Robin Wright wasn't Claire, Julianne Moore would be my pick.

Even if Claire wasn't played by Robin Wright, it would be a mistake to cast Julianne. She belongs in movies, as one of the most successful actresses her age.

Kevin Spacey would so overshadow her, she's not a powerful presence on screen.
I disagree I think Julianne would hold her on opposite Spacey.

Kevin Spacey would so overshadow her, she's not a powerful presence on screen. Spacey is awesome, and can play so many diverse characters. She doesn't have that range, at all.
