Firstly The European original copy is already good then I don't think he's gonna win again cause Sir Daniel Day-Lewis is working on new film which I'm sure is gonna slap his fat ass out of the Oscars
If they nominate him it will be pathetic just because of his history not for good role as they did with Meryl sometimes the Academy look for the whole history to make legends more comfortable

Since the girl with the dragon tattoo remake by fincher i am not that mad about it, (I was totally against fincher when it was announced) But now it became my most favorite film by him, which as you know lead to a oscar nomination for rooney mara
So if that Project has the right people behind it everything is possible, even another oscar win for Jack.
