Based on the Poll results so far, I think it is safe to say that "
JAWS
" is definitely running away with the lead in this Poll.

I like all those films, but
Jaws
has to take the cake. There is something reverential and special about the film and its construction.
Close Encounters
is reverential, but brazenly so and doesn't quite have the timing of
Jaws
. I can see CE boring some, yet in
Jaws's
quieter moments, it still has the power to resonate and compel completely.
If there is a perceived negative,
Jaws
did malign sharks, which is just a natural creature of its habitat. All of this can be forgiven though, because the film also paved the way in searching for more understanding of these menacing sea creatures.
Norman! What did you put in my tea?

Gotta go with Jaws on this one.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.

"I have to go with Jaws. It's the best movie I've seen."
————————————————
Yeah, It's My Number 1 Favorite Steven Spielberg Movie out of all of the Movies that he has made.
LOL, I realize that this is a pretty crazy and foolish thing to admit but "
JAWS
" is actually 1 of several Movies that I have watched so many times over the years that I now actually know the whole entire Movie line for line.

Jaws was done better but I prefer the story of Close Encounters of the Third Kind because I think UFOs are neat. Jaws is his best but Close Encounters is my favorite.

I think "Jaws" is one of the best films ever made. I fell in love with the movies because of it.
That was my pick.
…
"Close Encounters of the Third Kind" is a superior movie to "Duel".
In my opinion anyway.
…
Third Kind is a classic. An epic Sci-Fi picture and one of the best movies of the 1970's…
With that said, I also find it easier and more comfortable to re-watch "Duel" than Encounters.
