I b68recently met Sharon Stone and I wish I could say it was a nice experience but it really wasn't. I just wanted to compliment her and she just gave me a chilly stare, shook her head and walked away. Now I understand celebs have their need for privacy but I met her after an event in a public area. Maybe it was a bad day or what not, we're all entitled to that. But would a smile or a kind word have been that difficult? Well, good luck to Miss Stone. I noticed that she signs for fans and poses for photos when there are cameras or film crews around. I guess this fan doesn't count for anything so it doesn't matter that I'm not a fan any longer.

How much a jealous bitch are you, wh1ebco falls back on calling me my username because you're too common to think of something more inspired? You don't even know the definition of 'simpleminded'.
Figure it out as question your ugly interior as you watch Stone's pretty exterior. Happy now, to get some anger going?

It's what she did after she hit the big time, and she paid her dues for 15 yrs in order to hit the big time

You wouldn't think it by reading my post but.. I'm a fan too. She has limited talent, but she's got that "something" that makes me want to watch her. For instance, In Casino, the fight in the yard over the clothes and money. And the way, in one other scene a drunken Ginger was forced by her husband down the stairs and away frm the banker guy. She acted so pretentious and cornbally in "Bobby" as that hairdresser but she perfect for the role. I can't put my finger on it. I still believe she should have stayed away from "Gloria" tho. Not because she was bad in it, but because that role belonged to a real actress, Gena Rowlands. If I had never seen Gena's work in that I would have even enjoyed Stone's performance. She must have took on Gloria after the big heady feeling she had when her performance in a Martin Scorsese movie was so applauded.

<<"she carries an enormous amount of anger. She's fake. A phoney of the highest order. She lives a delusional existence where she desperately and continually tries convincing herself she is above the pack, that she is a true movie star. She is an undesirable suffering from menopausia who hit the big time too late to cash in. That's what happens when you don't have anything but looks to offer. When she looks in the mirror she sees Baby Jane Hudson looking back. Wow, she'd be great in that role.">>
I am a big Sharon Stone fan, but even I can recognize that there is some truth to what you say, especially the "hitting the big time too late to cash in part." But she did hit the big time, so she should be grateful and move on.
She's not a diva at all, so she'd do best not to keep acting like one.

Your experience doesn't suprise me at all. I read some unsettling things that her ex husband said about her parenting. I know of someone else that has hob nobbed with alot of famous people and he said she is a diva and not very 16d0approachable. She is a horrible actress too, except for in Casino. Her career has tanked, deservingly.

wordwrights2, ignore the insensitive comments of Jenh_26. Take it from someone who is also a sensitive soul - I used to believe my hypersensitivity was a flaw, but working in the tough environment that is corporate America, I learned to work with and get along with all kinds of people because I was very cognizant of other people's feelings. (I also grew a thick skin from dealing with the crazy managers that seem to populate these companies). Just know that most people are not trying to hurt your feelings; they are often ignorant of them because they themselves are not quite as sensitive as you (or are having a rotten day).
Cheers :0)

Where in her story did she say she was looking for validation? She just tried to say something nice and give her a gift. It wasn't because she was rejected by a celebrity that she was upset, but that someone could be that rude and inconsiderate when she was trying to be nice.
And no, I am not some starry-eyed fan. I could care less about the celebrity-hype-making machine that is Hollywood.

Finally, some sense here. Why does anyone want to cross a room or a street or go out of their way at all to compliment a frakking movie star? Would you do that for the best damn plumber in your town, the best cop, the best of anything else or someone whose work is important to you? No, you have to go say some kind words to a total stranger just because they're rich, famous, and gorgeous. Why? Why crawl across a dozen probably very nice, ordinary people in order to talk to Sharon Stone?
