they don't seem to want him to really… direct anything…
his movie swept the Oscars including for director (God knows how… it was a thriller with zero thrills) and he wanted to make a Batman movie and nope, no sir… as for what he has on deck in the directing department, there's not much but a remake of an overrated courtroom drama and something else no one really will care about…
the Oscar curse tackled this fella…

He wasn’t nominated for Directing. Ang Lee won for Life of Pi.
