I've had that darn song running through my head for two days now for some reason. Now I'm intrigued to know the story. Who did she date from Toto? For how long? Were they married or anything?

The song "Rosanna" was was written by David Paich. Paich played synthesizer, piano and organ with the band Toto. He said that the song is based on numerous girls he had known. As a joke, the band members initially played along with the common assumption that the song was based on Rosanna Arquette, who was dating Toto keyboard player Steve Porcaro at the time and coincidentally had the same name.

She dated Steve Porcaro. Not exactly sure for how long. And, no, they were not married. She actually dumped him not long before that song won a Grammy. Actually, her boyfriend didn't write the song, another one of the bandmembers did. His name is David something. (I'll have to get back to you on the last name.) Hope that helps!!!
