Her and her family went to a town. The town has a secret, it may have been a cult stuff, I can't remember. But anyone who tries to get out they(the town) won't let them 2000leave. If you can't read or write then they cut out your tongue, if you can then they cut your tongue and your eyes out.
If anyone knows the name of this movie, please let me know. I believe it's an older movie where she was a young girl at the time.
