I think she is getting a bit old for Underworld.
I'm not sure why everyone is slinging sexism as the reason some people think she is too old, though. The person who brought up Bill Nighy clearly doesn't understand how story telling works. The problem isn't gender. The problem I have with her age is that she does not look the same as she did when Underworld first came out. She still looks good in my opinion, but she doesn't look the same age. Vampires are not supposed to age, yet she clearly has. You can overlook that if you're a massive Underworld fan, but Underworld hasn't been a good franchise in awhile.

To start, I completely disagree with the idea that Kate is too old to be in Underworld. She has done a great job and I expect that she will be able to continue.
But, to be fair, with Bill Nighy, his case is slightly different. He was supposed to be older. His character was transformed into a vampire as an old man. If I recall correctly, he was basically on his death bed before receiving the offer to become immortal and lead an army.

Neither does Bill Nighy. He was in Underworld.
