think he's more fit than Steven Seagal and Seagal still plays action roles and is wanted for an "Expendables" movie. Really, "the Expendables" is more about the action films of 80's and 90's and the stars who represent them and I think Berenger with the "Sniper" films alone, not to mention "Shoot to Kill", "the Substitute" and various others is a key star from the era.

Just not buff enough for a role I guess. I suppose he could have been a military general or something of that nature. Love him as an actor, but don't think he would of "fit in".

I can't understand why he wasn't a part of the franchise all along, the "Sniper" movies alone should gain him access to the series.

Good idea; Mel Gibson should make an appearance as well
