Oh, gawds yes! He's amazing in I, Claudius.
Man of La Mancha is great. He steals the show in Flash Gordon.
Blake's 7, Space 1999, Black Addar, etc.
He elevates anything he's in.

It's not a movie, but you should see the BBC series "I, Claudius." He is absolutely wonderful as Augustus Caesar.
