by an Alien movie I do mean the Alien franchise. I would love to see Cronenberg take the franchise back to its roots; horror. Would love to see him write and direct the installment after Blomkamp's movie.

Then again, we've pretty much had six alien movies. Is there any novelty left at all?

Granted, he kind of already made an Alien movie. And I'd rather see him push for more book adaptations or original material than franchises.
The problem, I think, would be that ALIEN is too Cronenbergian already? I am not sure what novelty he could add.
