I may have been hearing things, but the police officer chasing young Kirk in JJ Abrams new Star Trek movie sure sounded like Michael Dorn. Can anyone confirm this as an uncredited cameo?

NO!!!! Dorn didn't play the Alien in the Bar, if you mean the Alian that sits between Kirk and Uhura. This Alien is credited as: "Long Face Bar Alien" and is played by: Douglas Tait.
