Some of these outlines that have been proposed actually sound interesting except for one common flaw, you all are including Feldman in your ideas. No major studio is going to hire that clown and he wouldn't be convincing as a protagonist against Jason now that he's an "adult ". Think about it,5ft 2 Feldman vs 6 ft 5 Jason Vorhees. I can just picture Feldman doing his horrible Clint Eastwood voice like he used in The Lost Boys movies, trying to convince us that he could actually put up a fight against a 12 year old girl, let alone Jason. Seriously, that guy's career ended in the very early 90's and he just can't accept that it's time to start flipping burgers and making McFlurries. I respect what he did as a child actor and I really hope that he set aside some money to get him through, but I doubt he did.

Nothing after part four can be part of the timeline if Corey returns.
Actually, it can. Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives takes place in 1990 and Tommy (Thom Matthews) is 18 years old in this movie, so Tommy would be 41 in 2013 (and Corey Feldman is also 41 years old right now).
Friday the 13th Part XIII: Jason Vs. Jarvis in 3D has to take place after 2003 when Jason killed Freddy and before 2008 when Jason was captured in Jason X.
I think it should take place in 2008 when Camp Crystal Lake Research Facility tries to capture Jason for the first time, but fails. And then they call Tommy who's living peacefully in the countryside to finally conquer Jason.
And then comes Jason X part: Jason is convicted of at least two hundred murders, he's placed under heavy guard and left shackled in the facility while researchers try to think of what to do with him.

Not a bad idea!
Why is Jason still alive though, and what happened to him after part four? Nothing after part four can be part of the timeline if Corey returns.
I still think a remake of FVSJ is a better option, giving it the title A Nightmare On Friday The 13th.

So much potential, I even have an outline of what I would love to see, this is just a quick idea of what I believe would be a ood set up.
This would be great, would love to see Tommy vs Jason. Would make a great film, Imagine this:
It's 2013, Tommy is all grown up almost 30 years after his painful and traumatic experiences at Cystal Lake, he's finally got his life together and put the mind shattering past behind him, or so he tells himself.
Tommy now has a family, lives in a High Rise in Chicago's Gold Coast at 1428 N. Michigan Ave., and is a top performing Salesman within his company. All seems perfect, living the dream, but Tommy still suffers from nightmares about his encounters with Jason Vorhees, he forces the memories deep down in his subconscious and does his best to fight these attacks through regular counciling sessions, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Boxing training and constant self improvement programs. Tommy still thinks16d0 about the day he finally fled his old life of misery, pain and constant anxiety.
Tommy moved to the big city to make a drastic change from his isolated country upbringing, he left his home with a summers worth of wages working odd jobs and a backpack full of clothes and personal items, just enough to rent a cramped studio apartment slightly bigger than a closet with views of a brick wallIt was GREAT!! Tommy finally felt like he was being freed from his past, he suddenly felt like he may be able to live a real life.
Tommy met his wife, Isobel "Izzy" Thompson a little over a year after arriving in Chicago after one of his counciling sessions, Izzy was studying to become a Psychiatrist at North Western University's Feinberg Shool of Medicine. Izzy was compelled towards Psychiatry due to her own mother's mental illness and nightly violent NIGHTMARES which led to sleep deprivation with the help of crystal meth, cocaine and any other speed drug, the Illness eventually led to her mother committing suicide while Isobel was only 9 years old.
Tommy was a green Salesman for a company based in Chicago. The last thing Tommy ever thought he would be was a salesman, especially given his past issues with anxiety, traumaic stress disorder and dealing with the general public. But over the years prior to moving to Chicao, Tommy began opening up more with the help of his former Doctor and was also very good at reading people and determining their weaknesses, all the psych sessions paid off after all! Tommy found the listing for the Sales Position, spent his last bit o money on a cheap suit at the thrift shop and went in and nailed the interview. After a few months of figuratively being on the firing line due to lak of sales,
Tommy finally got the hang of the job and found his selling "groove" during his fourth month in he netted a whopping $7,000 in commissions, Instead of dreading selling he started enjoying it, what other job cold a high school drop out earn six figures a year if he put in the effort, plus Tommy enjoyed being "someone different"' he developed another personality when he was selling, the introvert was suddenly running things. This was exactly what Tommy needed, he felt special and like he belonged in this cruel world for the first time since he was a child prior to thethe NIGHTMARE! Tommy believed that nothing could make this day betterthat is until he met her Isobel Thompson on the way out of his counciling session, it was love at first sight for Tommy fireworks and all that other jazz. Isobel was at the center passing through while volunteering after school at the Hospital connected to the center., Tommy was already walking on sunshine after earning his first good sized check for rhe month so he rolled the dice and asked Isobel outsshe was also attracted to Tommy and said yes, they met at the aha dock Tower's 99th floor restaurant for dinner the following Friday night. The rest is history
2013
Tommy amd IZzy are now both respected in their chosen professions, but Isobel can see that Tommy's inner demons of his past are trying ro resurface from his subconscious. Izzy hears and sees the occasional crying and screams while Tommy is sleeping, Izzy tries to talk to Tommy about the nightmares but Tommy insists he doesn't remember them and changes the subject quickly.
Isobel is not only concerned for Tommy's well being, but also of their 13 year old son, William Kincaid Jarvis. Isobel believes the only way Tommy is going to be able to break free his demons is to confront them, meaning he MUST go back to the site of the gruesome site and see that it is now over, almost 30 years later, Tommy can finally rest and Jason can Rot in Hell! Isobel begins methodically easing Tommy into a therapeutic vacation, Doctor Isobel Jarvis prescribed in fact! Tommy reluctantly agrees after a violent nighmare where he strikes Izzy while asleep, Tommy now knows that he needs to finally face the fact that the past is the past and Jason is in HellTommy' agrees with Izzy that Jason is only alive in Tommy's suff

Lots of issues with this idea.
Who owns the rights to the character?
When will the movie take place?
Will parts 5-9 be ignored? They would need to be IMO
Also, the title is bad, and I'd much rather see a remake of Freddy VS Jason, with Tommy Jarvis (Feldman) brought back, with the sequels ignored.
Even if the script was decent, and this got the go ahead, would a decent director come on board to do it, or would we be stuck with another mediocre Platinum Dunes director?
My idea? Go big!!! Re-do Freddy VS Jason!
Call it A Nightmare On Friday The 13th
Bring back Tommy (Feldman)
Have part of the movie set in Springwood, part set in Crystal Lake
Have Freddy kill the creator of Hypnocil by morphing out of the flames from a fireplace, appearing in the house of the doctor, and surprising the hell out of him! This would be Freddy's first real appearance in the movie, after he's regained his power.
Make this Jason the same one from the first four movies, with him now somewhat undead (I'll always prefer human Jason, but they can't really do that version again unless they want a full recon of the character, or if they pretend this takes place before part three) and revived by a nearly dead Freddy, who uses almost his last ounce of power to rejuvinate him. He could teleport Jason to Springwood, or if his power is too weak, transfer Jason's subconscious and power to a dead body in Springwood, similar looking to Jason, to which he is revived. That idea might piss on the fans though, and be a bit silly.
Keep the budget at 15 million, and keep it old school in style, with editing and cinematography akin to that of the first four Fridays and first three Elm Streets.
Get a good director who doesn't shoot music videos and who doesn't work for Platinum Dunes!
A new Friday movie, if done well, could be fun, but I'm pessimistic this will happen. I think we will eventually get a new one, maybe even a new Freddy and Jason movie if Robert and New Line pull some strings, but I don't think we will get a straight up Jason VS Jarvis movie, and not with that title.
Wouldn't mind seeing Feldman get another swing at it, but they would need to ignore all of the sequels. Would the fans accept this?
The last comment I'll make, is that I see no reason why a new Friday or Freddy/Jason movie can't be made, considering all of the Chainsaw Massacre reboots/prequels we've had, and considering all of the other mediocre horror movies of late. Let's bring back the old style Jason, with a different studio and a less flashy director.
