is one of the few films I've seen that does justice to the literary work that it's based on.<br />
John Hurt was perfect as Winston Smith, and Richard Burton gave one of his best performances in what was to be his last film role.</p>

<p dir="auto">It's my favorite performance of his. He's great in that movie. It's one of my favorites, and the book by George Orwell is also one of my favorites.</p>
