<p dir="auto">While he is best known for his film work - Mr. Hurt said that he chose roles based on the quality of the part and how much they were offering him.<br />
He was not an acting snob and would happily work on television projects as well as in film.<br />
Arguably his best work was on television productions - I CLAUDIUS and THE NAKED CIVIL SERVANT.<br />
But I think his tragic Timothy Evans in the blood chilling and much underrated 10 RILLINGTON PLACE is his best screen work.<br />
