Agreed. Although Brando is the greatest screen actor of all time. I love Peck in Mockingbird but O'Toole in Lawrence of Arabia is possibly1c84 one of the greatest screen performances of all time. His performance in that film blows me away every time i see it and i have seen it over 500 times.

he's my favorite actor of all time.he could really chew up the scenery!
He was ambivalent accepting his honorary Oscar espousing that there was still time for him to win one competitively!! I think he said it after his final nomination for Venus.

None of them had as many nominations as O'Toole.

Richard Burton and Kirk Douglas as well. But I would say, imho Peter O'Toole was the greatest actor I have ever seen.

There are others. John Barrymore, Barbara Stanwyck, Edward G. Robinson, Cary Grant, Irene Dunne, William Powell, Myrna Loy come to mind. The greatest of all who never won an Oscar? Alfred Hitchock.
