Rumor is they have been trying to get a Merle Haggard biopic in development for awhile but it hasn't happened. Who (besides me of course) thinks Jason Patric would be perfect for Merle? Look at a pic of Merle from the '60s or '70s and tell me he doesn't look a lot like him.
