<p dir="auto">Progress has to happen. I like the old stars too, but have grown tired of the "They were so much better back in the old days." I agree that they were, but people rant about it way too much.<br />
The days Perkins lived in were different. A star was expected to be recognizable to the public and to be able to carry a movie. Nowadays, the most recognizable stars are the veterans.</p>

<p dir="auto">True.  He like many of her others had more talent as well as dignity as well as career longevity that many stars now do not/will not have.</p>

<p dir="auto">You yearn for a time when things were simpler. Nothing wrong with that. What I don't understand is why so much emphasis is put on a person's sex life. Why are we all so interested in what people do with their genitals?</p>
