Watching reruns of Miami Vice and looked on here to see why he is not named on the show. Apparently he has a twin named John Diehl.

John does seem to have a "looks like" kind of face. I think he looks like Marc Alaimo, the actor who played Gul Dukat from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, among many other roles.
If he were in front of the camera more, perhaps we'd be saying all these other actors look like HIM.
