<p dir="auto">They weren't on speaking terms the last couple years of Nimoys life because Shatner used clips of Nimoy in his stage show without paying him; just like Roddenberry did in the 70's. So it was a sore point for Nimoy because he had lawsuits toward paramount and Roddenberry back then that had to be settled before he would go back to work in the films.<br />
And to have a so-called good friend do the same thing would have been heartbreaking.<br />
Shatner didn't even go to the funeral; yet he profited off his death by the sale of the book.</p>
