Nope. I saw a picture of Terence Stamp standing next to Terry Gilliam and I said out loud (to nobody in particular - apparently I just verbally declare things to myself) "Malcolm McDowell."
Then, I looked down at the names at the bottom and saw the name Terence Stamp. I immediately came to this board to see if anyone else had seen the resemblance and it was the VERY FIRST post on the message board.
So, for those of you who say they don't look alike, you should all go get your eyes checked. So many people cannot just be coincidentally seeing a resemblance that does not exist.

Pay no attention to the naysayers I get them confused all the time now days Back in the day, it may have been different, but i almost always have to check which of the two it is.

Completely agree with your post Annette. They didn't look anything alike (Stamp and McDowell) when they were young, but it is hard to differentiate who's who now that they are older men. They both retained a slim build and don't color their hair (thank goodness!) which makes it hard to tell. Stamp was way more beautiful than McDowell when they were young, IMO.

I just watched The Adjustment Bureau and i thought for sure the main bad guy was Malcom. I can't beleive it wasn't him. I also thought malcom was in Get Smart. Man i was fooled big time.

I got these 2 confused up until about 3 years ago. Glad to see I'm not the only one. It took me watching Superman to realize they were 2 separate people.

Yes, they do quite resemble one another now that they're older, but certainly not as young men. It's funny how that works. I used to get Christopher Walken and Willem Dafoe confused in the late 80's or so. Now they look nothing at all alike to me.

I'm watching Wall Street and I was sure it was Malcolm McDowell.

Malcom's name in entourage is Terrance also so when I mixed them up at first I thought he was playing a character with his same name kinda like those low quality UPN sitcoms

You're not insane. I watched Young Guns today for the first time I thought for a moment that I was looking at Malcolm McDowell.

I just found out they are not the same person. Maybe for the trained eye they are totally diferent but for me they have the same facial structure

i just watched "the limey" trailer and was stunned not to see malcolm mcdowell's name on the list that's when i came here to see if anyone else had made the same connection i had. yes, they do look eerily similar.

Something tells me Bethesda wanted Stamp (who was in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion) to voice the President in Fallout 3. They ended up hiring McDowell instead.
