When and where did Meryl diss Emma film Saving Mr.Banks? At The National Board of Review? That wasn't a diss. Meryl slammed Disney but she praised Emma. I think Emma and Meryl are really good/close friends so I don't see Emma dissing Meryl anytime soon. I don't know why she'll diss Collins or Madonna. She seems like she's above that and if she ever did attack another celebrity, it'll be for a good reason. I know she said she made her peace with it but I'll love to know how Emma feels about Helena Bonham Carter and Kenneth Branagh.
When it come to the My Fair Lady remake, Emma did an interview in which she said she wrote it but it's being shelved because of copy right issues and not being able to find the right Eliza Doolittle.

The fact they couldn't find an actress who has the talent and charisma to play Eliza ON FILM is proof that Audrey Hepburn is irreplacable. Julie Andrews may have been great on stage, but film is a different medium and the movie wouldn't have worked had she been cast. Like it's hard to imagine Andrews being the fairest in the Embassy Ball, or some one who would be mistaken for a princess from Hungary.
My Fair Lady is a classic and Hepburn had much to do with its success. It did win the Best Picture Oscar so I can't understand why anyone would find it awful. MFL haters would say the Oscars don't mean anything. If that were true then the Oscars Julie Andrews and Emma Thompson won don't mean anything either.

I just wanted to express my displeasure with Mrs. Thompson.

Oh, I just mentioned Joan Collins and Madonna because like Emma Thompson, they also speak their mind. Add Debra Winger to the list.
Well, no remake is good news for me.
