No. We do not have to get over it. And maybe, one day, when an arrogant, loud-mouthed actress bad-mouth's Emma's acting, then maybe you'll understand how we feel. Hopefully, it'll happen when she's still alive, so she knows how it feels.
Oh, and by the way, I know you're a Brit trying to put down Americans, but keep in mind that Audrey was a British citizen, as well. That, and, when you stereotype an entire group like that, it says more about you than the group you're putting down. Keep that in mind.

Not EVERY American doesn't get her humor. I'm American, with a rather dry sense of humor, and I completely appreciate her intelligence, talent, and definitely her humor. She's great on talk shows.

I keep reading how people will remember Hepburn 100 years from now and not Thompson.
I assume they mean Katherine Hepburn as I spoke to some young people about Audrey Hepburn and they did not know who I was talking about but they remember Thompson from Nanny McPhee and Harry Potter films.
Even some middle aged people struggled to remember who she was unless I mentioned My Fair Lady and Breakfast at Tiffanys.
Its that man again!!

I totally agree, furthermore I'm sure she's rolling for she's a genius with a very intelligent dry English sense of humor that Americans just don't get and she loves screwing with our stupidity.
Furthermore, Hepburn was a great star and extraordinary beauty, but not even she considered herself to be a great actress which is why she basically retired from acting at age 37 only doing a handfull of roles afterwards and she could NOT sing. Her singing was dubbed in the Film.
