They do it because the public can't shut up about their looks, as if nothing else matters, and not looking like a 25 year old chick in Hollywood is like the kiss of death unless one is really big into being cast as a drunk, a bitter divorcee, a bitter single mom or a grandmother.

I'll never forget when I saw her in Desperate Housewives, playing Gabriella's mother, she looked HIDEOUS. The woman has butchered her face with plastic surgery, she looks a complete and utter MESS.
