So, I understand many of his films were completely destroyed after the scandal, and that no copy of them survives. I also have not seen a single Arbuckle flick in any shop ever in my entire life. I have also never, ever seen or heard of any of his films ever being shown on the telly, ever. So I have to ask the question: is it possible to get hold of any of Arbuckle's films? If so, how?

I've just (today) bought a 3-disc R2 set containing fifteen of his and Mabel Normand's films.

There's a first-rate DVD set of Roscoe's work called
The Forgotten Films of Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle
(see URL below). There's also a great collection of the comedies he made with Buster Keaton put out by Image Entertainment in two discs; Kino Video also put out a number of the Arbuckle/Keaton comedies but, in my opinion, that set is practically ruined by the lousy musical accompaniment. The set from Image is more complete and has much better music.
