If you want to get it done with people power, start up a kick-starter campaign. But bear in mind that a friend of mine is trying to raise $20,000 to put together a new Leap-con, which was supposed to be for the 25th anniversary of Quantum Leap that was in March. She started it more than a year before and still only has about $4K.
