I like him, alright. But he had like 2 lines in Behind The Candelabra. Were there too little contestants in this category?.

yes, Rob Lowe I would understand, just because his role was so 'out there'. I actually didn't remember Bakula's roll at all Maybe he's nominated because he 'transformed' a lot for this role?

I have seen actors in smaller roles get nominated but usually with a bit more substance to the part.
Scott was actually the only reason I went to see this movie in the first place and I thought he was good in it. Would have expected Rob Lowe to have equal attention though.
