I think Bakula would be an excellent candidate on Dancing with the Stars.
He's starred in several hit TV series including Quantum Leap, Star Trek Enterprise, and most recently, Men of a Certain Age. Bakula excludes an extreme likability.
Apparently, Bakula has some free time b/c right now, he has nothing scheduled. Why not put him on Dancing with the Stars? Dancing with the Stars has helped resurrect the careers of many celebrities including Mario Lopez and Nicole Scherzinger. DWTS could be the boost for his career.

I've never watched the show, but I'm sure Scott would be great. He's a wonderful dancer. However, you're wrong in thinking he's not busy right now. He's been doing a guest role in Desperate Housewives, recently filmed a pilot for a possible new show next fall, he's working on an independent movie, and he's doing a series of conventions this year. He just finished one in Toronto, will be in Philadelphia next month, has two conventions scheduled in August (Chicago and Las Vegas), and will be doing a convention in London in October.

I don't think I follow. Aren't there other actors who have appeared on the show who would be SAG members as well? Heck, Melissa Gilbert was even the president at one time, right? I mean, aren't ALL working actors pretty much members of SAG? Or is it the board thing? I'm confused and I don't know enough about the industry.

I agree. I've never watched the show, but if he were a contestant, I'd definitely watch. Some of my favorite "Quantum Leap" episodes featured him dancing. (That tango in "Sea Bride"! Too fun.)
