He has only co-written one major movie of his: 127 Hours. I find that interesting. Usually, very good directors write their movies as well, and get people to help them. They also usually want more (or total) creative control. But not Danny boy. He just directs.

That's really interesting, because he speaks so well and thoughtfully about film, how it works, and can break down how it works and dosen't work. His interviews are usually worth watching because of that alonethat and the fact that even after more than 20 years in the biz, he still clearly has such a passion and love for filmhe dosen't sound as jaded as most veterans of the biz normally would. Plus the fact that he's still a good-looking dude at his age,and has a nice, lively smile, too. That being said,I would love to see his latest film, T2:TRAINSPOTTING,which is a sequel to his classic TRAINSPOTTING flick.

David Fincher also doesn't write. He has two shorts on his IMBD page on here. Spielberg hasn't written a whole lot either. Nor has Scorsese. Or even Kubrick.
