if it wasnt for LLOYD, he wouldnt be anything. lloyd's appearance in seinfeld, as izzy mandlebaum, opened alot of doors for Beau, and he should thank his father for giving him the chance to become an actor.

I hated "Seinfeld" and made a point to leave my place when my roommate and friends would gather to watch it each week. However, I knew of Lloyd's presence and talent in Hollywood LONG before that.
I agree that nepotism can open a lot of 5b4doors in Hollywood (and everywhere) but it can't sustain a lucrative career (unless the boss hires people to do their kids' jobs and fires anybody that shows them to be the idiots they really are, but that usually just happens in Corporate America). The first two names that came to mind when I read your post were Jeremy Piven and Paris Hilton. I used to love binge watch "Supernatural" on Netflix until they let her ruin a whole episode. Must be nice to have absolutely NO talent and still get your name in the credits.

I've just saw the cheese flick Village of the Geants (1965), I can't believe how HOT he is in it, I had no idea it was Beau Bridge until the credits, wow! Sure this is a B movie and his acting is very avera-gy, but so much fun, I can watch the gogo dance over and over:
Love it!
Not as glorius as is brother Jeff, but I still have good times watching the nerd classic The Wizard, The Fabulous Baker Boys, his episode on The Outer Limits, Norma Rae
Not all actors have to be the oscar type.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha! I swear some of the people on IMDB crack me up. Beau Bridges has been acting since he was a child. He had the staring role in the Steinbeck story, The Red Pony when he was 8 years old in '49. As much as we all admired his dad, Beau and certainly Jeff are much bigger stars than he was. Their tour de force together was The Fabulous Baker Boys that was probably close to what their real relationship was at one time.

Clint has over 200 credits for his career. He's been in between 15 and 20 projects that Ron has directed. However, he'd probably get along just fine without Ron's help. After all, he's got those matinee idol looks. Kind of like Michael J. Pollard.

I've always felt he didn't get as much attention because he wasn't as 'movie star' good-looking as Jeff was
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Love Jeff, not knocking him, and he is quite handsome, but did you see Beau when he was younger? OMG, now that was a handsome sweet just huggable young man if there ever was one. IMO, I saw him on this lifetime movie recently where he loses his memory, and he was still so loveable, even older, I find him so attractive. In the looks department, he may not be able to pull off a cigarette smoking hard drinking type, but he was not shortchanged by any means, not my Beau.

Jeff and Beau were no doubt helped by the fact that their dad was a famous actor. But both are talented actors and have had successful careers in their own right. I love them all but Beau is my favorite. I've always felt he didn't get as much attention because he wasn't as 'movie star' good-looking as Jeff was

depending on your point of view, regardless of his talent or lack of it and whether his Dad's fame gave him a leg up or not, simply scrolling down his credits will show that BB has been acting since 1948 and when did Seinfeld first start ? 1990 ! So that blows that ludicrous theory right out of the water. If you don't like an actor, fine, but back it up with at least some semi-intelligent observations about why you hate him, instead of ignorant and misinformed rantings.

Beau's born in 1941 and has spent his life frittering it away. His whole career is one jaunted lament for a pithy, or ode to the fool. Whether he lives off of his father or not. The man is nothing like his brother and should have worked as a shoe salesman like Al Bundy (Bundy is actually a native Swiss name and properly pronounced "Bun-day," but that is a prolegomena to my thesis on).
I think Warhol tried coming up with a name for the likes of Beau, "Trash!!!"

I remember when he was younger and seeing him "The Landlord", "Dragonfly", and "Swashbuckler", as well as other movies he has done since, including "The Fabulous Baker Boys".
