and I mean that in a good way! She had a very beautiful voice. I always thought she made up her voice in the Wizard of Oz, because it seemed to fit the character of Glenda so well. Well recently I've seen her in some other movies and was surprised and delighted to realize she talks the same way. That was just her natural voice, soft and beautiful. I'm sure she was a fasinating person in real life, and a lot of fun to listen to. 🙂

in real life i heard she had more of a New England-ish accent, kind of like Kate Hepburn's but more eloquent.
