A lot of older people need to get eyelids lifted because their eyelids droop and interfere with their vision - so it may have been a medically necessary procedure rather than due to a botched facelift. (Although, it really could have been either. I know 3 elderly people that have needed to have that done - one was a former boss of mine. All three of the people I know that had the lid-lift done also had the shape of their eyes change as a side-affect.

The people who have that eye-change ,I think, had forehead lifts. It makes them rounder and too deep-set.
