<p dir="auto">A lot of people heap crap on Capra because of how ignorant or silly his stilted view of American life seems now but what I think they don't get is how rebellious (sp) his thinking was. He made movies that made you walk out of the theater and think "Why isn't my life like that?" and then you fought that much harder to attain that ideal.<br />
Maybe I'm giving him too much credit but I can't help it, I still cry when I watch  Why We Fight and Mr. Smith Goes To Washington.</p>

<p dir="auto">I completely agree. I think thats why he is one of the best film makers of all time. But the sad thing is that nobody would know him by name, at least not at my age (15). I'm so happy that his son is taking time to do amazing things with his father's film, like putting them on dvd for us.<br />
