<p dir="auto">I never realized until recently just how few movies Cazale appeared in.  Just five complete films, every one of them among the best of the 1970s.  In my opinion Godfather I/II, The Deer Hunter, and The Conversation are in the top 10 of the decade, with Dog Day Afternoon not too far behind.<br />
His work is remarkable.  It's not that his filmography is merely unblemished.  It's damn near perfect.</p>
