Does anyone remember actress Lois Chiles from her glory peak as Doctor Holly Goodhead on Ian Fleming's 007, MOONRAKER (1979)? Back then, being a Bond girl carried more status and lasting benefits than it does today. When Lois Chiles resurfaced in 1982's CREEPSHOW, I wondered, "What became of her beauty?" Her softer, youthful, more feminine beautiful face looked older, sharper, and less appealing. It looked like she aged more than those 3 to 4 years. Sure enough, her looks faded faster. To be sure, she was already 30 or 31 in MOONRAKER. I was expecting her to keep on looking like that for ten more years. Some people don't age as well as others. I wish she had because back then I thought she had an extraordinary beautiful face.

Oh man, that lady was really pissed at me. I know why she's really angry and that is because women judge women on their physical appearance harder than men. She thinks men don't hear and don't notice when women make fun of other women because of bodily imperfections, signs of aging-wrinkles, sagging skin, cellulite, et al.
She won't admit that, will she? And I think she may be even angrier because she may have heard or learned of other women judging her looks, body, and aging.
Oh yes, we can't forget her one-off insult that I'm not twenty years old anymore. That is a third reason why she's so angry. Aging doesn't hurt men as much as women, until we really get old. One woman once remarked to me the unfairness of it all. She told me, "Women get old while men look more distinguished". She wasn't repeating her personal sentiment. She was2000 telling me how the public treated aging between men and women.
Yes, I know a bitter, angry woman when I see one who's been the target of physical appearance bias, which is something I admit guys do, AND so do WOMEN.
Am I pissed off in return? No, because under that woman's anger, I sense her bitterness and troubled feelings.
P.S. Not just Lois Chiles. It's happened to other actors. Listen, some people
age better than others and some people don't. You can't choose your own
genetic makeup. Remember hot babe, Kelly McGillis from Top Gun? I watched
STAKELAND twice without knowing that the religious nun character was her.
On IMDB other posters were shocked at how she aged to the point of being
unrecognizable. Most of those posts were not nasty, just expressing the
same astonishment as me.

Here here. Well said. There
s far more to a woman than her face. There
s her body too.
Nah, only joking. The OP does seems a little critical and judgemental. We all need to look in the mirror before we pass these sorts of comments.
That said, Lois would have definitely used her looks to her advantage and would have welcomed all the benefits of being good looking when it suited her. That
s life I
m afraid.

You are a typical man who places a woman's beauty above all else and assume that's the7ec most valuable thing about her. No wonder girls grow into women who are insecure and chasing the dragon of youth with people like you around judging a woman because she has aged, just like you.
Something tells me that you probably aren't in your twenties anymore either.
I am so sick of women being criticized for not looking young, but then slammed if they have plastic surgery and criticized for looking their age. What hypocrites.
A woman's value is more than the way her face is shaped and tightness of her skin.
"Why is it that some of the most unattractive men think they are entitled to have the worlds most beautiful women?"
