just lib68ke frank lloyd wright was a great artist & architect, his inspiration led to the downfall of modern architecture.
kurt was a great singer & songwriter. but his influence on a generation of musicians led to horrible acts like alice in chains, nine inch nails, marylin manson, insane clown posse, korn & limp biskit.
not to mention 9,000 other bands that were similarly annoying but somehow managed to make it in the realm of rock radio.
if it weren't for nirvana, alice in chains & metallica wouldn't have been billboard top-ten selling acts playing in huge stadiums. metallica releasing pop-songs should have been a wake-up call.
they weren't the first punk band to make it huge. sex pistols were huge, but they weren't 'nirvana' huge. nirvana was the first big-time success & every band from that point on had to try to catch on.
