I have often wondered about HOlly's hair. The other sisters changed their hairstyle over the years. Shannon's was similar but it went from long to short a few times. Alyssa constantly changed her's in so many styles. Rose changed her color and some hairstyles but Holly seemed to consistently over the entire 9 yrs of the series to have the same long hair. I saw one time it was shorter but she wore it long and parted on the side or middle. I always wondered why she never cut it short or had a different more wavy style like ROse did at times. Does she just like long straight hair. I gathered Alyssa likes variety and change and its hard for me to imagine that the show, hair and makeup people didnt suggest other hairstyles for her. Has anyone read anything about this or have an opinion on it.
Also I remember one time noticing that scar on her eyebrow that I had not before and it kept annoying me after that for a few episodes for i couldnt keep from looking at i2000t. I kept thinking why dont the makeup people cover it. I recently was watching again and saw that it didnt show so apparently they did cover it sometimes. I saw an old one today where it showed up. I was so curious about that scar and found out on IMDB she got this scar as a child when she was learning to walk and ran into a marble coffee table.
Here is a funny interview from Holly I just found. She only mentions trying to grow her bangs out and Aaron Spelling saying no no no dont do that. lol

She has beautiful hair, but she seems to have a fixation with long hair. Her ex-husband had long hair. Her current boyfriend has long hair. And, now her kids have long hair. All boys. I personally don't like long hair on men and I especially don't like long hair a boys.
But, that is my personal opinion.

her thick brown hair is so stunning, and gets shown off to effect, leave it be, I guess..
I doubt any other hair-style would have done anything for her..

To mthudak: Have not been back to this thread since I originally posted but yeah I see a lot of deletions too and I even had replied to some of them and one my reply sounded normal because I thanked that person however another one I guess was rude because my reply was more defending what I meant by my post.
I agree long hair can be styled in the ways you mentioned and I had seen it like that. Just had a curiosity why she never cut it for that many years because most women at some point do cut their hair.
The scar of course as I said in other posts is fine and I just hope people understood it was just that one episode I noticed it when I had not before and then I could not stop looking at it where the mind just gets on something and can't stop. My own dad as I stated has a scar very similar. I always liked Holly and her character on the show. She sounded very wise and intellectual.

Oh just read this after my reply to the previous person and I never knew that. Thanks for telling me. I always thought when it said deleted by administrator they had deleted it due to some rude comments but my reply to that first person sounded like that person had been positive so now it makes sense and I learned something new.

I don't think it is the topic of the post. I think some people delete their accounts and make new ones. I once deleted my account by accident (which is actually hard to do but somehow I managed). I regretted it of course - It showed up as deleted by the administrator. That is just how it works.

Geez!!! I can't believe a simple question about a scar and hair had to have so many messages deleted by the administrator! I'd love to know what people had to say about either of those issues that resulted in so many deletions!
RE: Holly's hair, it changed over the years, but mostly just grew longer. She always had it nicely trimmed, so it had some shape around her face and always fell (and still does!) nicely around her shoulders. She ofter styled it differently different types of pony tail holders, putting it up, etc. Her long earrings always looked great with her long hair.
I've loved that she never did anything about her scar it's just a part of who she is, and I give her credit for not fixing it, not going the Hollywood way and getting breast implants, plastic surgery, etc. I also like that she has never conformed to the Hollywood ideal of thin. While Alyssa (who is absolutely gorgeous, and has a body to envy) and Rose were both quite thin, Holly was a little "thicker," but healthy looking, confident and attractive.

I LOVE her scar think it so awesome besides "Charmed" and PLL being good shows her scar is a highlight for me, and she has nice hair and I don't think the character of Piper would change her hair that much compared to Phoebe so maybe that's why it wasn't changed during "Charmed"

No i didnt say i couldnt watch it because of the scar. I loved the show and always watched it but that one episode was the first time I noticed the scar and once i did i couldnt stop looking at it. IT distracted me and I found my mind focusing on it instead of what was happening in the show. I dont think its dumb at all. I think most people have had something like that happen to them. Have you never just noticed something and couldnt stop staring at it. If not, a lot of people have. Its not rediculous at all. I have friends who have told me the same thing. YOur mind just gets focused on something you never noticed and you cant stop paying attn. And my post was supposed to be taken in a lighthearted humorous way not so seriously for I just found it funny I had never noticed that scar and then I did and couldnt stop. Its like those commercials for shows they show over and over again and it gets drilled in your head and you start repeating it everytime you hear someones name or something like that. I wish i could think of other examples where this has happened to me or friends but cant as I write this. I didnt watch AI this yr but is aw clips onine and that Indian guy his eyebrows were so obvious that i looked at them while he was singing. They were full and big. There have been other people with big thick eyebrows that you cant help but notice. THings do stand out on people sometimes and you cant help but notice it. IF i think of any others i will let you kow.

I remember Crystal Gale kept her long hair forever and had never cut it. Im not sure if she is still doing that. It was down to her feet but she was very short I think 5 ft 2 anyway. She would wear it in braids for variety. I dont recall even HOlly doing that. I loved long hair when i was young and thought it looked great to keep it growing out but I know with long straight hair there is just so much you can do with styling and harder to keep it from becoming boring. Of course I guess one can get body waves and perms without cutting it and give some variety.
My dad has a scar on his eyebrow too due to mumps or something as a child so I know that it becomes sort of a trademark. I recall someone making a comment about fixing it in photoshop maybe my mother did and i said well i dont want to do that because it is a part of who he is. So I can see that about HOlly's scar although its funny to me how I never noticed it on the show and then one day I did and i couldnt stop looking at it. I mean i was annoyed that i couldnt concentrate on the episode because that scar was so distracting to me. But I dont always notice it and I think in some episodes it had makeup on for you cant see it at all in some.

If i had hair as beautiful as Holly's, I don't think I'd want to change it! It is in such good condition. She did get it cut shorter when she was pregnant with Riley, but it only changed once in charmed (got rid of the fringe).
And whats wrong with her scar? It's part of her face, i don't see the point in covering it up. They tried to change the girls appearances (coverign tattoos badly, sticking holly in a padded bra etc) but it never really worked.
