<p dir="auto">She was interviewed during the Cannes festival in 2007 with Mickey Rourke and they askedher why she didn't make more US films.<br />
She answered that she loved it but it wasn't her language so she couldn't really relate to the characters and express their feelings as in French. There was no mention of her not being allowed in the US so I think she can go if she wants to.<br />
She also said that Abel Ferrara sucked as a person and was less cool than his cinema.</p>

<p dir="auto">Why on earth wouldn't she be allowed into the US for two or three months to do a movie?<br />
Was she involved in a crime?  That's the only reason.<br />
I'm sure she's seen how other terrific French actresses have been used to poor effect in American films (Isabelle Adjani, Catherine Deneuve) and chose to continue doing movies in her native tongue with the filmmakers who know how to use her (isntead of casting her as the exotic woman which is how most foreign actresses are portrayed in American movies).</p>
