I'm from the same neighborhood in North Brooklyn as Tony EAST NY, and yes it was something of a tough area. I'm four years older my birthday is a month after his 5/24. In his case he was only 14 when the family moved to Long Island so that shouldn't be that much of an issue. Some years back a bride came to my business with the name of DANZA she said she was related which I knew not to be the case since DANZA is not Tony's real name. What a stuck up so and so.
I didn't shoot the job as she wanted too much for too little cost.
There was something going on back in I think the 1980s where Tony was being very rude to people in public at airports etc.

I have never met him but just because he was charming to Rameses does not say anything. I have known plenty of guys who were charming in public but complete @ssholes in private.

I was able to be in the audience of THE TONY DANZA SHOW (the one with Marcia Cross God I love her) and managed to get his autograph.He was very willing and seemed a very charming and likable guy,exactly like his WHO'S THE BOSS? character.The stories on this bored about his OTHER behavior are outrageous lies,do not believe them.
