I get that she has, or has had, an alcohol problem. But her departure was so abrupt, it seems like it had to have been something more. When I first watched the show live, I missed her while she was absent for so much of Season Six, and disappointed when she didn't even return for the Season Finale. I actually stopped watching when they killed her off, not just because of that, but it was kind of the last straw after losing Pamela, Chase, Trevor, and Roxy, not to mention Amanda and Jeremy, plus I hated at least one of the new cast members.
Now I'm rewatching it marathon-style on DVD and I realized that she full-on disappeared and never came back. They explained away her absence, but that was that. Even in flashbacks after her death, they played stuff from the show that we had seen - she didn't come back to do any flashback scenes. It just all seems so weird.
So I was just wondering if anyone had any dirt. Because I'm nosy.

Around 2011 she was invited to be a Speaker at some event ( sorry can't recall which one) . She was obviously under the influence of drugs or alcohol and after a few mins. of a rambling speech she was escorted off the stage. I have to wonder if the Producers of Army Wives didn't feel she was too much of an embarrassment for her to continue with the show. But you're right. The show definitely took a nose dive after she left.
