there was a poll an assignment where they had college kids listen to his music in the '00s kids who had never heard his music before and they geave their objective opinions. some said they undertsood his genius and legacy others said he wasn't as great as his legend. so the question is is he overrated or underrated or rightly rated?
the generation before these kids would've had greatly different opinions than these kids bc they grew up listeing to his music in the '60s.

Not overrated in the least. A great and very influential songwriter.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
