To me, the best part are the back-to-back tracks, Narrow Way, Long and Wasted Years and Pay in Blood. I especially love Long and Wasted YearsTo me, it's his best album since Time Out of Mind.

PAY IN BLOOD has been my favorite ever since the album was released. Great dirty little rocker and I love that grunty "wuf fuf fuff ruff" at the beginning. TIN ANGEL bores me. I like the story and all - great little return to the old weird JOHN WESLEY HARDING balladry -but it's not very interesting musically.

It's a great album. For me, Scarlet Town and Tin Angel are the cream of the crop, with that trademark Bob intense brooding sense of menace.
